Feelin' Good Mileage Club
Cole participates in the Feelin' Good Mileage Club sponsored by Kohl's and Sparrow Hospital. Register your child online by clicking on the logo or complete the form sent home with your child by February 29th to get in the drawing for a $50 gas card. More information will come home about start dates. The Club will end with the Michigan Mile on June 2 @ Lugnut's stadium.
Aftercare Forms
NEW AFTER CARE PROGRAM AND NEW LOCATION:
The Cole Academy After Care Program is held at the BHCO (1518 S. Washington Ave.: 4 minutes from Cole Academy).
- Free transportation to BHCO
- Cost is $3.00 a day per child, paid at Cole Academy.
- Healthy snack included
- Access to multiple activities including: a full-size gym, computer lab, game room and art activities weekly(to be developed after start-up)
- Free tutoring from volunteers with at least two years of college on Tuesdays and Thursdays (mentoring available also on those days)
- Staff consists of all qualified individuals and MSU volunteers with background checks
Arrangements for payment can be found at the front desk and should be given to Mrs. Helmic for processing.
GOOD NEWS CLUB
This club is hosted by Child Evangelism Fellowhip (CEF) and meets in the Cole Academy gym on Mondays, after school. from 3:40pm to 4:40pm. More information can be found by calling 322-0001.
MARTIAL ARTS
Neal's Martial Arts offers instruction on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the Cole Academy gym, from 3:45pm - 4:30pm. Instructor Greg Neal can be contacted at 517-898-0018.
BOY SCOUTS
1st through 6th grade. Meetings are the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays @ 3:45 in the gym.

New Improvements
Smartboards:
All classrooms will be equipped with Polyvision Interactive Whiteboards. Currently 5 out of the 7 classrooms have them up and running with the last 2 classrooms being outfitted within a few weeks! This is an exciting teaching tool that will "revolutionize" the classroom. Teachers have a number of days ahead for Professional Development and implementing this new device. Some have already begun using them. We are all excited and you should be too. Not many schools in the state of Michigan can brag about Interactive Whiteboards in every classroom!
New and Improved Curriculum(s) in place:
Art, PE and Health have all undergone major changes and renovations to be up-to-speed with the State of Michigan Common Core Standards and Grade Level Content Expectations.
